Recently, the emergency rescue drill on the vehicle derailment recovery in the railway tunnel, jointly organized by the Railway Equipment Company and Baoshen Railway Group, was successfully held in Longshan Tunnel K106 + 830m of Ganquan Railway. The drill was the Company’s first emergency rescue drill on vehicle derailment in the railway tunnel, which is of great significance in actual practice.
The drill simulated the derailment of Vehicle 0418016, located in the first position behind the locomotive of Train 6789 in the tunnel due to the wheel tread defect. Upon receiving the accident notification, Railway Equipment Company and Baoshen Railway Group initiated the emergency rescue response procedures. The rescue team quickly assembled, and performed the duties strictly as planned, including line blockade, vehicle re-tracking, wheel set replacement, line restoration, line inspection, representing a comprehensive test of the synergy capabilities in emergency response. Through the drill, the two units further clarify the division of responsibilities, and improve the emergency rescue coordination mechanism, laying a solid foundation for effective response to similar accidents in the future.
Since March, combined with the “Accident Warning Month” activities, the Railway Equipment Company has continued to strengthen safety management, conducted an in-depth analysis of past railway accident cases, including equipment failure, manual operation error, slow emergency response, and integrated the summary and lessons learned in such accidents into the emergency rescue plan, thus making it more targeted and practical. The Company actively organizes staff to participate in safety training and skill competitions to enhance staff’s safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, strengthens the frequency of inspections and maintenance of railway equipment, and conducts timely detection and treatment of potential safety hazards to ensure safe and stable railway operations.
