On February 11, the first oil tanker truck carrying 3,626 tonnes of fuel was loaded at the Dongying Port Station on Ligang Railway, traveled via Lijin Station on Huangda Railway to Yangkou Station, and finally arrived at the LuQing Petrochemical’s dedicated rail line on Yiyang Railway for unloading, marking the successful launch of oil product transportation by the Shuohuang Railway.
The initial transportation volume for this oil product service is set at 100,000 tonnes, with joint efforts by the Shandong High-speed Rail Transportation Group Co., Ltd., Ligang Railway, Shuohuang Railway, and Shandong Shouguang LuQing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The end-user Shandong Shouguang LuQing Petrochemical Co., Ltd., located in the Shouguang City of Shandong Province, specializes in the production, sale, and related services of petrochemical products with the business scope covering oil refining, chemicals, and storage, as well as annual railway transportation demand reaching four million tonnes for various raw materials including crude oil and fuel oil. After conducting extensive visiting tours and surveys, business personnel from the Shuohuang Railway established and improved a freight transportation and organizational structure, and reached a transportation agreement with Shandong Shouguang LuQing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to shape a collaborative supply chain.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Shuohuang Railway has fully implemented the “136” development strategy of CHN Energy, accelerating the formation of a diversified cargo structure combining coal, ore, and petrochemical as “three driving forces”. By focusing on key industries and potential transportation markets along the railway, the Company promotes the construction of a modern and integrated logistics system encompassing “corridor, hub, network, and platform”. By adhering to a market expansion approach combining long-term efforts with quick returns, the Company tends to broaden its transportation types and paths to achieve a strategic shift from a single coal transportation to comprehensive and diversified business formats. The launch of this service not only addresses local enterprises’ transportation challenges and showcases the leading role of Chinese central enterprises, but also provides strong cargo support for the Company’s non-coal transportation, achieving both economic and social benefits.
