On August 21, after completing a safety inspection in the Engineering Machinery Workshop, maintenance workers of Zhunneng Group’s Equipment Repair Center refreshed themselves with the cool and thirst-quenching Bingfeng bottled water purchased from Xirimorengacha Village, Yihewusu Sumu(town) in Hangjin Banner. Previously, to help promote sales of bottled water produced in Xirimorengacha Village, Zhunneng Group purchased 3,000 cases of bottled water from the area, generating a collective economic benefit of RMB 50,000 for the village. This move demonstrates the company’s commitment to fulfilling its responsibility as a central state-owned enterprise and fully supporting rural revitalization efforts.

The company actively responds to rural revitalization strategy by implementing multiple measures and stepping up efforts to make consumption-based assistance a key component. Through measures including “promoting sales to boost production,” the company has ramped up efforts for rural revitalization in Xirimorengacha Village. In response to the challenges faced by local farmers and herders in selling their beef and mutton, Zhunneng Group has adopted an approach of “helping through purchase” to address these issues. In 2022, the company helped Xirimorengacha Village sell livestock like cattle and sheep, as well as mutton, and other agricultural and sideline products worth RMB 1.58 million; in 2023, it signed contracts worth RMB 470,000 to purchase mutton and other agricultural and sideline products from the area.

Over the years, Zhunneng Group has been dedicated to fulfilling its social responsibility as a state-owned enterprise and implementing targeted strategies to support rural revitalization through paired assistance and consumption-based assistance. The company regularly engages with local communities to understand their needs and provides tailored support. In terms of consumption-based assistance, the company prioritizes purchasing local agricultural and livestock products during procurement for logistics and employee benefits. It also includes designated poverty alleviation supermarkets in Zhunge’er Banner in its employee welfare programs. Over the past 3 years, the company has invested RMB 99.7377 million in assistance funds, effectively addressing the challenges faced by farmers and herders, particularly in selling vulnerable poverty-alleviated households’ products. This sustained support has greatly contributed to the stable and rapid development of the local economy.
