On September 19, Shengli Energy Open-pit Mine organized a public blood donation activity. 52 employees donated a total of 15,730 milliliters of blood, demonstrating their original aspirations with blood donations and safeguarding life through their generous actions.
To ensure the success of the blood donation activity, the mine invited Han Shujie, a young employee and recipient of a gold award for voluntary blood donations, to give a lecture on voluntary blood donation. On the day of the activity, volunteers arrived early at the Xilingol League Central Blood Station. Among them were first-time donors, regular donors, and retired veterans continuing their tradition of service. Under the guidance of staff, volunteers orderly went through identity registration, blood pressure measurement, temperature checks, and blood collection procedures. After passing the blood tests, the donors rolled up their sleeves and lined up in an orderly manner to donate both their blood and kindness. Volunteers expressed that donating blood is a civic duty that can help those in need and they planned to continue the efforts, hoping to spread positive energy and give back to society with their selfless acts of love and kindness.
