Volunteers from Shendong Coal recently received a letter of acknowledgement and a banner from the government of Wulan Mulun County and the county office for COVID-19 response, as a tribute to their contribution to fighting the virus.
After receiving a request for support in the COVID-19 fight from the county government in mid-November, Shendong Coal immediately assembled a nine-member volunteer team and sent it to the frontline of COVID-19 fight. The volunteer team accomplished their 24-day service task with outstanding performance.
During their services, volunteers from Shendong Coal acted actively upon the requirement of the county office for COVID-19 fight and helped with epidemiological investigation. Working an average of 11 hours every day, they screened 859 close contacts and contacts of close contacts, as well 78 venues with potential infection risks. With their dedication and hardworking, the volunteers exhibited the qualities of the company as a responsible centrally-administered enterprise, and won acclaim from local government and people.
