On August 22, Photovoltaic Heating Project of Bayan-Undur Gacha (the lowest-rank village-level administrative division of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), Baoligen Sum (a township-level administrative division of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), assisted by CHN Energy Shengli Energy Co., Ltd., was formally launched. This project not only greatly improves the living conditions in Gacha, but also provides the safety and warmth for herdsmen during the winter.
Due to the backward infrastructure in Bayan-Undur Gacha, herdsmen mostly relied on boilers to warm themselves in winter, while cow dung or coal was used as fuel. In addition to the short combustion duration, such heating mode was time-consuming, labor-intensive and environmentally unfriendly. After CHN Energy Shengli Energy Co., Ltd. learned about the situation, it cooperated with professional organizations to conduct on-site surveys, collected the detailed information from herdsmen, and comprehensively gave full considerations to such factors as house distribution, heating area, heating supply demand and line load. Then it invested RMB 200,000 to help install photovoltaic heating equipment in Bayan-Undur Gacha. The equipment makes full use of the free spaces in herdsmen’s roofs, sheds and covered pens, characterized by long service life, low cost, simple operation and unfreezing. The equipment satisfies the heating needs while alleviating the economic burden on the herdsmen.
For a long time, CHN Energy Shengli Energy Co., Ltd. innovates the working idea on synergy between local community and enterprise, regards “Action for Warm Winter” as an important starting point, and continuously advances and consolidates the relationship between local community and enterprise. For seven consecutive years, more than 13,000 tons of “charity coal” have been provided to Gacha herdsmen for free. RMB 3.5 million has been earmarked for nine households with impermanent electricity to have access to power supply. 4.1 kilometers of rural power grid lines have been rebuilt and upgraded in order to meet heating and electricity needs.
