Recently, Shendong Coal was granted a national invention patent for an ia-Grade Protection Device and System for Miner’s Lamps, successfully addressing key industrial technical challenges in meeting ia-grade intrinsic safety requirements for intelligent miner’s lamps in coal mines, and filling technological gaps in this field.
Intelligent miner’s lamps integrate positioning, audio and video functions, requiring current-limiting resistors to meet ia-grade standards. However, conventional technologies often cause significant voltage drops, lamp flickering and insufficient charging. Furthermore, adding extra charging ports also violates industrial regulations. In response, the R&D team adopted an innovative series protection circuit and multi-channel parallel circuit structure. It provides independent branches for lamp panels and loads to eliminate flickering at the source. Matching charging detection cut-off circuits and two-stage semiconductor protection circuits realize non-shunting charging and dual protection against abnormalities. The design fully complies with safety standards without compromising equipment performance.
The patent retains traditional charging methods and is easy to use. It significantly enhances the stability and service life of intelligent miner’s lamps and reduces maintenance costs, providing strong technical support for underground operation safety and the safe, intelligent development of the coal industry.
