As of June 19, Huanghua Port’s annual inbound and outbound coal volume reached 101.051 million tonnes and 100.228 million tonnes, respectively, both hitting the 100 million-tonne records, which exceeded the yearly target by 914,000 tonnes for inbound shipment and 2.606 million tonnes for outbound shipment, maintaining its leading position in coal handling capacity nationwide. Since March of 2025, the Port has consecutively broken historical records in monthly coal loading and unloading, with an average daily coal shipment volume reaching 630,000 tonnes, registering a 3% year-on-year increase.

As a gold transportation corridor and key hub for transporting coal from west to east and north to south, Huanghua Port has closely kept pace with integrated operations, strengthened coordination mechanisms with railways, and deepened its collaboration with the Shuohuang Railway to improve maintenance consistency, shorten connection time, and reduce the impact of maintenance days. Since March of this year, the Port has maintained a high level of dumping for 140 trains on maintenance days, with an average of 8 more trains per day compared to last year, significantly increasing daily dumping capacity and ensuring highly efficient integrated operation. The Port collaborates with e-commerce platforms and sales terminals to implement precise coal preparation based on vessel dynamics, planning diversion and stacking in a science-based manner to shorten vessel cargo-waiting periods by 6%, greatly improving vessel turnaround efficiency. It also promotes two-way navigation for 70,000-tonne class channels, with the number of navigation batches increased to 4 per day, involving over 20 ships, reaching a total of 920 two-way voyages annually, which has increased berth utilization by 2 percentage points and directly supported an additional 1.5 million tonnes of coal shipment, laying a solid foundation for ensuring stable energy transportation.
