As of January 23, Zhuhai Port registered receiving of 1.323 million tonnes and loading of 1.515 million tonnes, successfully fulfilling the monthly production task eight days ahead of schedule. This makes a good start in the first month of 2025, preluding the fulfillment of the annual production task with solid steps.
In 2025, upholding the guiding principle of “Seeking Progress While Maintaining Stability, Prioritizing Safety, Fostering Innovation and Achieving High-quality Development”, Zhuhai Port has made faster progress in implementing “13236” Development Strategy, and fulfills the responsibility for stable energy supply and imported coal transfer base. The Company has consistently improved the efficiency of integrated operation, strengthened cooperation with sales, e-commerce, shipping sectors, and northern Huanghua Port and Tianjin Port, while aligning upstream loading and imported coal plans. Moreover, it has explored the needs of hinterland users, and introduced market business to fill the gap of berths, thus achieving a stable and balanced shipping schedule throughout the month. This not only improved the berth utilization, but also reduced the average unloading time at the port by 47 hours year on year, significantly improving overall operational efficiency.
Zhuhai Port is committed to its responsibility for stable energy supply, and has established and optimized the information connectivity mechanism with sales, shipping and railway sectors and terminal power plants, successfully breaking “data barriers” and “information silos”, and building Energy Supply Hub in Gaolan Port Area. In response to the strong demand for coal inventory replenishment by power plants and the surge in lump coal sales before the Spring Festival of 2025, the Company has made significant improvements in port loading and unloading efficiency. In particular, the efficiency of ship unloading and train loading has increased by 18.5% and 3% year on year, respectively. On January 18, the single-shift and single-day loading operations successively hit record highs. Zhuhai Port earnestly serves as a critical “ballast” and “stabilizer” in stable energy supply, and contributes to energy supply of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, supporting the stability and security of the area’s energy supply.
