As of June 20, Xinshuo Railway has achieved a cumulative total of 20,091 freight train loads for the year, transporting 82.38 million tonnes of cargo. This marks an increase of 3.172 million tonnes compared to the same period last year, ensuring a robust energy supply for the peak summer season.

In 2024, Xinshuo Railway aligned itself with CHN Energy’s “136” development strategy and actively responded to the integrated operation strategy of “coal–electricity–chemical–railway–port–shipping” deployment and “production–transportation–sale–storage–utilization” deployment. It has strengthened the construction of an integrated energy transportation corridor and implemented the resource acquisition strategy featuring “one axis, two wings, two regions”. Leveraging the collaborative advantages of “one department, two centers, and four units”, Xinshuo Railway has strived to ensure smooth and efficient resource acquisition and transportation. With a market-oriented approach, Xinshuo Railway closely monitors coal source acquisition and transportation arrangements. Utilizing the dispatch command data operation platform, it meticulously allocates transportation tasks to maximize the alignment of transport capacity with demand, and to meet the transportation needs of clients, ensuring apt arrangement for every tonne of coal and every train. It has enforced strict measures to prevent the loading of high-temperature coal and prohibit overloading, unbalanced loading, and spillage. It has enhanced process control over loading and transport to ensure cargo and transportation safety. Preparations for the flood season have been made in advance, with strengthened equipment and facility management. Close collaboration with local meteorological centers has enabled resource sharing and accurate forecasting. Technological means such as drones have been used to comprehensively inspect line hazards. Special inspection teams have been formed to examine and rectify key equipment and facilities, such as vertical shafts, tunnel slope, high slope protection, and bridges, reinforcing the flood safety barrier. In line with the “Safety Production Month” event, Xinshuo Railway has conducted multi-scenario accident simulation emergency drills to test the operability of various contingency plans and improve emergency response capabilities. To combat the summer heat, Xinshuo Railway has enhanced on-site operational management and devised a “dynamic riding + walking inspection” plan for line facilities and hazard detection based on temperature variations. This proactive approach aims at addressing issues regarding track defect and geometric size limit, thereby solidifying the foundation for safe production and ensuring the stable supply of energy.
