By November 11, the total transport volume of China Energy Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. (Railway Equipment) self-owned railway vehicles had surpassed 304.7 million tonnes this year, with an average daily transport volume of 944,456 tonnes. The fixed marshaling rate of railway vehicles reached 99.3%. All of its self-owned railway vehicles have maintained high-efficiency operation, ensuring stable and orderly energy supply for the coming winter peak season.
Since the beginning of this year, Railway Equipment has adhered to the goal of “guaranteeing transport safety and serving the big picture of transportation” and the principle of “precise detaining and repair” to perfectly integrate vehicle checking and repair with the handling of worn-out vehicles. Besides, it coordinates various parties to ensure efficient flow of information and form an institutionalized, regularized management and control mode to continuously guarantee railway vehicles for transportation in an effective way, getting well prepared for the upcoming winter peak season. To further enhance transport capacity, it assembles available vehicles in a timely manner, based on the number of detained vehicles. Meanwhile, it organizes the timely return of locomotives that have disconnected with carriages and marshals them into fixed vehicle groups after unified appraisal for second-time use, thus fully enhancing the usage rate of available transport capacity.
At the same time, the company continues to strengthen vehicle transport capacity management, vehicle check and repair, and the organization and management of non-coal transportation and cross-railway transportation, greatly enhancing vehicle scheduling capacity. Through comprehensive testing and improvement of vehicle quality, it overcomes the negative impact of the previous “planned and preventative repair” mode on transport organization, and constantly quickens its pace to optimize the check and repair process and increase vehicle turnovers. By doing so, it has solved the long-standing problem of some vehicles in poor conditions remaining in operation, reduced the number of temporarily detained vehicles for repair along the route, reinforced the existing fixed vehicle marshaling rate, and maximally relieved the pressure on repair stations along the route to solve key and difficult malfunctions. Moreover, it has achieved high-efficiency vehicle operation along the entire route, and changed the situation of “considerable decline” of vehicle operation quality to “dynamic zero” malfunction, injecting vitality and momentum into the digitalization of the company and the reform of cargo vehicle repair constitution.
To get ready for the upcoming winter peak season, Railway Equipment gives full play to its advantageous preparatory lines, maximally incorporates “red lines” into the handling of preparatory lines, and increases the predicting accuracy of the state-based repair model based on the feedback concerning vehicle handling. It strictly follows the principle of “complementing the detained vehicles with themselves” to ensure the stability and reliability of state-based repair vehicle grouping, actively organizes vehicles, advances plan formulation and management, and formulates and implements measures concerning vehicle guarantee through unified management and deployment. By doing so, it has better fulfilled daily plans and provided transportation support for China Energy’s integrated operation.
