Recently, the hardware installation and connecting to electricity grid for 5G core net was completed in Zhunge’er Energy Group. This will provide network support, featuring high band width, low time delay and safe & reliable data storage, to unmanned truck driving. This is part of the efforts to realize smart mines in Zhunge’er Energy and also the first practical application of 5G core net sinking in Enterprise Zone.
The core net ensures all business functions performing normally, like the brain of 5G network. The company has two independent 5G core nets in the 5G network solution, and the two systems are complementary and back up to each other. Each system includes such core net elements as independent AMF, SMF and UDM, significantly enhancing the safety and reliability of the whole 5G network. After the completion of the network, a total area covering 53.56 km2, including the mining section and industrial parks of Heidaigou open-cut mine and Haerwusu open-cut mine, as well as refuse-fired power plants, can be accessible to the 5G network.
For the open-cut mines, the 5G base stations can periodically relocate according to the changes of mining faces. The relocation could be finished within 48 hours with the network reconfiguration completed within 72 hours, ensuring the smooth operation of unmanned trucks.
