The world’s first 5G industrial explosion-proof intelligent AR helmet imported by Shendong Coal has been successfully applied in its Cuncaota Mine. The AR smart helmet adopts 5G and AR technologies, which enables staff to use AR wearable devices underground or on the ground for interaction between virtual and real safety production scenes, providing strong scientific and technological support for the high-intelligence development of coal mines.
With the full coverage of underground 5G network, the mobile communication technology represented by 5G has effectively promoted the vigorous development of intelligent equipment and technology in coal mines. Cuncaota Mine actively explores and applies new technologies and new processes, and works with manufacturers’ technicians in building such data as equipment parameters, operation flow, remote monitoring, experience database and equipment maintenance records into a data cockpit to be integrated into the 5G industrial explosion-proof intelligent AR helmet. A high-definition micro display screen is set in the lower part of sight, with a display effect equivalent to a 7-inch flat panel that serves as a dashboard. With this screen, the AR technology can be used to realize equipment maintenance and debugging, remote assistance and remote after-sales service at the production site. When not in use, the screen can be adjusted to a position that does not interfere with the sight.
By using the AR smart helmet, workers can also collect a large amount of real-time information of underground operators, including video, audio, images, etc., and accumulate assorted knowledge in the process of safe production, so as to digitize advanced experience and provide necessary and reliable operation support and experience for digital operation and maintenance of intelligent mines.
