Recently, the “high-voltage connector testing device” developed by China Shenhua’s Baoshen Railway was authorized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and obtained a utility model patent certificate.
The device is mainly used for comprehensive performance testing of high-voltage connectors after they are removed from locomotives for disassembly and maintenance. It can perform docking tests of two high-voltage connectors and simulate process parameter tests under locomotive operating conditions, including vertical swing of not less than 8°30′, lateral swing of not less than 34°, maximum return stroke of not less than 240 mm, and minimum return stroke of not less than 210 mm. It addresses previous technical bottlenecks where only one connector could be tested at a time, and curve-induced swing or buffered coupling states could not be simulated.
After being put into service, the device effectively detects hidden defects before locomotive installation and allows timely intervention, reducing the risk of in-service failure and ensuring the quality and safety of locomotive parts. In addition, the device is easy to operate, improving maintenance efficiency by approximately 30%.
