Recently, the Point Cloud Data Registration Method, Device and System independently developed by Yanbao Energy was granted an invention patent, marking key technological breakthroughs in open-pit mine 3D laser scanning and intelligent slope monitoring, and adding solid technical support to the construction of smart mines.
In response to industry pain points in traditional point cloud registration including being vulnerable to external factors, insufficient accuracy and frequent manual intervention, the R&D team conducted multiple on-site tests and algorithm optimizations. It integrated orthophoto data into the point cloud registration for the first time, and established a new linkage matching mode that combines historical and current point cloud and image data. This patent enables rapid acquisition of historical and current point cloud and orthophoto data over the monitored areas, accurately locates slope displacement areas and captures millimeter-level deformation through feature matching, coordinate transformation and difference model construction, providing reliable data support for slope early warning, monitoring point layout, and disaster prevention. Compared with conventional methods, this technology significantly improves registration accuracy and processing efficiency while effectively reducing labor costs. The solution particularly fits regular safety monitoring in the complex terrain and harsh climate conditions of grassland open-pit mines.
Going forward, the company will accelerate the commercialization and application of its patent achievements, further improve the integrated air-ground intelligent monitoring system, strengthen safety barriers for open-pit mines through technological innovation, and inject strong technological momentum into energy supply and high-quality development.
