On January 22, Shendong Coal’s patent application for An Automatic Welding Machine for Shearer Spiral Drums was successfully granted a national invention patent. Deeply integrating core technologies of intelligent sensing and adaptive control, the technology precisely solved two key problems in the manufacturing of coal mining equipment including welding deformation and gravity balance. It provided important technical support for the intelligent upgrading of the industry.
To address the pain points of traditional welding processes, the technology innovatively developed an “intelligent clamping-sensing feedback” system. It monitored the whole process of welding data in real time and dynamically adjusted welding parameters, effectively suppressing blade deformation from the source and ensuring the accuracy and stability of long welds. Meanwhile, the technical team integrated an online gravity distribution detection unit. It could automatically identify unbalanced parts of spiral drums, complete precise marking, and realize rapid leveling of unbalanced parts through data-driven methods, greatly improving manufacturing efficiency.
Practical application results showed that this patented technology not only significantly improved the welding quality and product consistency of shearer spiral drums, but also further enhanced the stability of spiral drums during operation through pre-emptive gravity balance control. It indirectly increased the cutting efficiency of coal mining operations. The successful grant of this invention patent marked a key step for the Company towards intelligence and high reliability in coal mining equipment manufacturing. It also injected new technical impetus into the high-quality development of the coal equipment industry.
