The intelligent upgrading project of the remote control system for the air compressor room at Shendong Coal’s Yujialiang Coal Mine was officially put into operation on January 26. The coal mine entered a brand-new mode characterized by “remote monitoring, intelligent linkage and unmanned operation”.

The intelligent upgrading project of the remote control system for the air compressor room was equipped with a complete intelligent control algorithm of “perception-decision-execution”, becoming more intelligent. High-precision sensors were installed at key nodes of air compressors and gas supply pipe networks, enabling real-time and accurate collection of core data including pressure, temperature and flow rate. On this basis, a PLC main control system with advanced control algorithms was installed. It could automatically decide equipment start-stop, power frequency and frequency conversion switching as well as optimal load distribution according to the main pipe pressure requirements, realizing constant pressure gas supply and operation with optimal energy efficiency. In addition, the control system had built-in multiple fault diagnosis and safety interlock protection programs. It achieved millisecond-level safety response and a transformation from “passive response” to “active early warning and optimization”, effectively serving as a smart control center.

The commissioning of this upgrading project established a remote monitoring platform based on an intelligent perception network and core control. The platform integrated data visualization, intelligent alarm management and automatic report generation. Furthermore, it was safely connected to the mine dispatching network, enabling overall control and centralized operation of the room’s operational status in the ground duty room. This provided reference experience and upgrading directions for the coal mine to continuously promote intelligent transformation.

Zhao Weifeng, captain of the Mechanical and Electrical Team, praised the changes after the upgrade: “The traditional operation and maintenance methods relying on manual monitoring, manual recording and empirical judgment have become history. Now with the ‘smart brain’, we have not only liberated human resources but also ensured safety and efficiency.”
