Recently, the first set of intelligent patrol robot with “Harmony OS Mining Operating System” covering an ultra-long distance of 3,100-meter was successfully put into operation along the 203 belt conveyor at the Bulianta Mine of Shendong Coal, a subsidiary of China Energy.

This patrol robot is equipped with the “Harmony OS Mining” operating system, which closes the gaps between different communication protocols of different equipment from different suppliers. The operator can use an app on his or her mobile phone to check the videos captured by the patrol robot anytime and anywhere, and control the robot from distance. The application of the robot heralded the start of a new era of man-machine interconnection and interaction in mines, and marked a new breakthrough in intelligent mining.

“After it was put into operation, the patrol robot is responsible for patrolling along the 3,100-meter-long main belt conveyor. The operator can use the mobile phone to monitor the temperature of equipment and the operation of the conveyor, which is very useful and convenient and has reduced the burden on frontline workers,” said Miao Lei, deputy head of the mine’s No.1 transport team.
