On February 22, Shuohuang Railway successfully achieved the extended application of the company’s railway dispatching system. By expanding the dedicated network into comprehensive application of office network and mobile terminal for the first time, the company realized effective use of data from multiple business segments, laying a solid foundation for the deep excavation and comprehensive application of the data from the company’s railway dispatching system.
On the condition of ensuring security, stability and controllability of network, Shuohuang Railway conducted in-depth development and application of the data from the company’s railway dispatching system, overcoming the regional and spatial limitations of the traditional systems of the type.
The extended application of office network and mobile terminal greatly reduced the workload of on-site operation and maintenance of the dedicated network system. It could save 4.5 million yuan of upfront investment and subsequent maintenance cost after being deployed along the Shuohuang Railway.
In addition, the company collected and integrated the data of the dispatching system to develop 13 applications demonstrating key information such as real-time location of trains, marshalling information, crew information and monitoring status of train dispatching at stations. With the applications, the on-site staff could check information such as the real-time status of trains, routes for receiving and dispatching trains, track occupation and shunting operation. The staff could plan the railway paths and operation routes in advance, which would reduce on-site work time by over a half while guaranteeing safety and security.
