As of July 10, Shuohuang Railway, China’s second-largest west-to-east coal transportation corridor, has achieved an annual cumulative freight volume of 200.052 million tonnes, marking a year-on-year increase of 11.984 million tonnes. The goal of surpassing 200 million tonnes was reached 12 days earlier than last year, ensuring a continuous and robust energy supply during the peak summer demand.

Since the beginning of the year, Shuohuang Railway has thoroughly implemented the “136” development strategy of CHN Energy with emphases on digital empowerment and integrated synergy, fully promoting key tasks such as energy supply, flood prevention, and construction maintenance, and continuously facilitating efficient development of the collection and distribution system. By leveraging production and operation plans, the company has actively responded to changes in transportation, and continuously enhanced daily tracking and weekly adjustments to improve planning accuracy and fulfillment rates, striving to ensure smooth and efficient integrated operations. Key transportation organization have been closely monitored, with strengthened coordination at boundary points to ensure seamless daily train handovers and flow adjustments and precisely match flow control plans, thus preventing backlog and discontinuity, accelerating the speed of vehicle emptying, and providing sufficient vehicles for loading. The company has bolstered collaboration with upstream and downstream enterprises and social logistics companies to consolidate and expand effective cargo sources, extending the logistics service chain. Emphases have been placed on capacity matching between stations and rail lines and the construction of supporting facilities for logistics, improving the transport capacity to facilitate the shift of carrying cargo by trains instead of trucks. Bulk cargo transportation is expected to transform from “enabling delivery” to “achieving smooth delivery”. Facing the flood season, the company has adhered to dynamic risk control and proactive flood prevention strategies, including 24-hour monitoring of cloud conditions, rain tracking, map monitoring, and water level observations. Personnel have been promptly dispatched to inspect key sections within the warning zones through additional staffing and manual patrols. This ensures that critical areas are under control and general sections are not overlooked, thus guaranteeing safe and stable operations during the flood season.
