On September 5, the press conference of “2022 China Brand Appraisal” ranking was jointly held by the China Council for Brand Development (CCBD), China Appraisal Society, and National Brands Project Office of Xinhua News Agency in Beijing. As a first-time contestant, China Shenhua ranked fourth in the energy and chemical sector, and first among listed energy companies, with a brand value of 153.117 billion yuan.
As the only national-level non-governmental organization engaged in brand work approved by the State Council and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the CCBD is jointly launched by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and China Central Television. The press conference of “China Brand Evaluation” has been held for nine consecutive years, making significant steps towards establishing a brand value evaluation mechanism with Chinese characteristics, gathering positive momentum of Chinese brands and promoting them towards the world.
China Shenhua ranked 2nd in the 2021 S&P Global Commodity Insights Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings (1st among Chinese companies), 36th in the 2022 Fortune China 500 list; and was shortlisted for “2021 Top Ten Cases of Corporate Integrity Building”, Forbes 2022 “China ESG 50” list, and Fortune China ESG Influence list. The brand awareness and reputation are both on the rise.
