On April 28, the “Air Outlet of Dust Removal Fan—Secondary Dust Suppression Device under Air-Water Collaborative Dual-Mode”, independently designed and manufactured by Shendong Coal’s Bulianta Coal Mine, was officially put into operation.
Built with ultra-thin stainless steel, the device is embedded within the dust removal fan outlet and works under a collaborative dual-mode combing “annular air-water spray” with “metal wear-resistant dust-catching net”, ensuring a 70% airflow rate while substantially enhancing filtration efficiency. Its corrugated reinforcement design allows the metal dust net to withstand long-term wind pressure impacts, significantly extending its service life. In addition, the device achieves synchronized start-stop operation between spray and main fan via pipeline linkage with the wet dust removal fan, reducing water consumption by 30% and realizing automated dust suppression.
Li Bin, Director of the Mine’s ventilation office, noted: “This air-water dual-mode dust suppression device not only greatly improves dust control efficiency but also reduces maintenance costs and water resource consumption. We will continue to optimize the technology to create a safer and healthier working environment for our miners”.
