Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China announced the list of the first batch of companies with educational environmental protection facilities in petrochemical and electric power industries, with Dingzhou Power Plant honored to be included as a key thermal power company in Hebei Province. The honor marks the Plant’s notable contributions to the green transition in the thermal power industry and its commitment to the “dual carbon” strategy, setting a benchmark for giving priority to ecological conservation in energy companies.

By adhering to the principle of “comprehensive planning, safety first, innovation-driven development, and massive participation”, the Plant has consistently implemented various ecological and environmental protection requirements. By integrating the concept of ecological conservation into its core development strategy, the Plant has continually increased investments in environmental protection projects. Through the adoption of limestone-gypsum wet flue gas desulfurization technology, all four of its 600-megawatt thermal power units have achieved ultra-low emissions, with key pollutant discharge indices well below national standards.

By creating an immersive environmental protection education platform with modern technology, the Plant has established an open system to enhance public awareness of energy transition. By innovatively merging theoretical presentations with on-site visits, the Plant systematically showcases the production processes of the thermal power industry, energy-conserving and emission-reduction technologies, and achievements in new energy development, guiding the public to deeply understand the dialectical relationship of “advancing protection and development in parallel” and to actively practice the Ten Codes of Conduct for Environmental Protection. The initiative expands online and offline interactive opportunities, bridging trust between the public and the Plant, and encouraging broader participation in green development, thereby contributing to building a Beautiful China.
