Recently, Guangdong Huizhou Power Plant organized youth volunteers to participate in the voluntary tree-planting activity of Daya Bay Zone. Through active engagement in the protection of marine biodiversity by planting mangrove seedlings, it contributed to the construction of a beautiful and green ecological environment in Guangdong.

To protect the coastline and restore the coastal mudflat ecology, volunteers wore mud boots and worked in groups under the guidance of experts to plant more than 100 mangrove seedlings at the Baishou Bay estuary, an offshore beach. After the tree-planting activity, volunteers expressed: “Protecting the marine environment requires a massive involvement. By planting these mangrove seedlings with our own hands, we hope to enhance public awareness of environmental protection and contribute to ‘lightening the burden’ on the environment and ‘expanding capacity’ for the Eco-system in the Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone.”

As a coastal power plant, Huizhou Power Plant has long attached great importance to marine environmental protection. Through themed voluntary tree-planting activities including “Ten Years of Dedication to Fulfill the Original Commitment” and “Proactively Protect Our Green Environmental”, it has fostered a culture of tree planting, loving, protecting, and promoting involving in full participation of employees. Additionally, the Plant actively rescues wildlife under special State protection (level-one protection) such as wild green turtles and Chinese Egrets to help them back into the wild. This continuous effort enhances the sense of responsibility and mission among employees to practice the concept of green development, contributing to the protection of the marine ecological environment and demonstrating the enterprise’s commitment to promoting harmonious coexistence between human and nature.
