Recently, the “synergic technology and implementation plan for desert carbon sequestration and solid waste utilization in coal mining areas of the Yellow River Basin”, a joint research project for ecological conservation and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, passed authentication and was implemented in Shendong Coal.
By studying mine water recycling and utilization technology, microbial remediation fungicide expansion technology, gangue-to-soil technology, rapid desert greening and waste recycling and synergy technology in coal mining areas, the project serves as an integrated demonstration project of ecological restoration and carbon sequestration. Through collaborative evaluation of desert ecological restoration and carbon sequestration in coal mining areas, the project forms a complete set of technical plans for desertification control and saline-alkali land ecological restoration in coal mining areas of the Yellow River Basin, and puts forward the model for desert ecological restoration and industry in coal mining areas. The implementation of the project is a major measure taken by the company to build the Shendong pilot zone, a major national strategy for promoting ecological conservation and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.
