The Green Credit Supermarket in Shendong Daliuta Mine kicked off its operation on the 12TH of May.
According to the staff, from March on, the employees of Daliuta mine are able to get credits by exercising environmental-friendly action, participating in the environmental protection campaign, or donating personal idle items such as electric appliances, clean shoes and clothes, bags and books. They can redeem the credits for certain green plants in designated locations. The donated items will be put in the supermarket, which anyone can barter with the supermarket, or purchase with money.
Under the agreement signed with Shaanxi civil service as well as other charity organizations, Daliuta mine will collect all the donated items and money quarterly, and send them for donation according to arranged agreements. The items and money will be used for poverty alleviation for poor families and students in need. The item list and money details will become public information to ensure transparency.
